With 30% fewer calories than sugared gum, these sticks of watermelon gum are sweetened with xylitol, a naturally occurring sugar alcohol. The ADA Council on Scientific Affairs found that the physical of chewing Trident sugarless gum for 20 minutes after eating stimulates saliva flow which helps to prevent cavities by reducing plaque acids and strengthening teeth.
